KRE Management is a multi-generational family-owned real estate business dedicated to owning, managing, and caring for multi-family housing with intention, consistency, and long-term vision. Our properties have been part of the local community for generations, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Carolyn Kau

PRESIDENT

Carolyn is a second-generation owner of KRE and holds an MBA in Finance from UW–Madison. She oversees the company’s financials while remaining actively involved in operations, regularly walking the properties to ensure they are well maintained and performing at a high standard. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and her two grandchildren, as well as hiking and golfing.

Christy Kau Ramkey

VICE PRESIDENT

Christy is a third-generation owner of KRE with over a decade of experience in commercial real estate, including several years at a national brokerage firm. She now leads day-to-day operations, overseeing leasing, maintenance, and overall property performance, with a focus on improving systems, resident experience, and long-term value. Christy is deeply involved in the business and regularly on-site, working closely with the team to ensure the properties are well run and continually improving.

Laura Diaz

OFFICE MANAGER

Laura Diaz handles bookkeeping and administrative operations at KRE, keeping everything organized and running smoothly behind the scenes. With over 30 years of multifamily experience, she brings deep knowledge and a positive, approachable energy to her work, and truly enjoys helping tenants and being part of their experience. Outside of work, Laura loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog.

Pat Hogan

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Pat Hogan joined KRE Management after decades of hands-on maintenance experience and has played a key role in revitalizing and refreshing the entire portfolio. He is incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and takes pride in ensuring every property is well cared for. Pat genuinely cares about each and every tenant and is always ready to help, bringing a service-first mindset to everything he does. You’ll often find him on-site, greeting residents with a smile and making sure things are running smoothly.

Andy Schroeder

MAINTENANCE TEAM

Andy Schroeder joins the KRE Management team with years of hands-on experience in remodeling, plumbing, and electrical work. As a resident of Pirate Island, Andy brings a unique level of care and pride to the community, treating it as both his workplace and home. Alongside his loyal dog, Maverick, he’s often out and about—helping residents, keeping an eye on things, and always ready to lend a hand. We’re lucky to have Andy’s energy, positivity, and strong work ethic as part of the KRE team.
